Thermography in Birmingham

Sparrow hosts Thermal Imaging Center for a thermography day at our Birmingham clinic once a month. Cheree Vasquez, Thermal Imaging Center's thermographer, brings her equipment to our space and performs every study personally — so patients who want thermography can get it in a familiar place.

What thermography is

Thermography (digital infrared thermal imaging) is a non-invasive, no-contact imaging technique that maps heat patterns at the surface of the body. There is no radiation and no compression — the camera simply captures infrared images in a temperature-controlled room. Curious how it works or what it can and can’t do? What to expect

• When you book, we’ll send you Thermal Imaging Center’s pre-imaging instructions and intake questionnaire — a few simple preparations for the days before your scan.
• Your appointment takes 30–90 minutes depending on the study.
• Thermal Imaging Center reviews your images and delivers your report by secure email, typically within 7–10 days.
• Payment is collected when you book. HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
• Share your report with your Sparrow provider if you’d like it considered as part of your broader care.
